About Us

Retired Railway Pensioners Society is a social and welfare organization established with the objective of providing support, guidance and welfare to retired Railway employees.

Objective: To protect the rights of pensioners after retirement. To provide benefits of pension, health benefits, medical facilities (RELHS/CGHS), and other government schemes. To keep pensioners informed of new information, such as pension revisions, DR increases, the Seventh/Eighth Pay Commission, etc.

Promote mutual cooperation and brotherhood among pensioners.

The organization was established on 16th December 1997 by Shri V G Kale, retired Assistant Commercial Manager. At that time the name of the organization was Retired Employees Association (Railway) Indore and after the registration of the organization on 29th July 2024, the name of the organization was changed to “Retired Railway Pensioners Society”, Indore. The first meeting of the organization was held in Manas Bhawan Rajendra Nagar. Various office bearers were selected in it and Shri V G Kale Saheb was elected as the first President. Shri V G Kale Saheb worked tirelessly even in his poor health and strengthened the organization.

The organization was earlier associated with All India Railway Men’s Federation Dombivali (AIRRF’s headquarters is currently in Secunderabad) and Bharat Pensioner Samaj Delhi. Presently the organization is associated with Pensioners Association of Railways, Ratlam and Bharat Pensioner Samaj Delhi and the organization receives the magazine published by them through which the organization gets information about new rules and facilities provided to pensioners by the government. Now the organization has got itself registered in the office of “Registrar of Societies, Government of Madhya Pradesh” and “NITI Aayog, Delhi”. The organization is now trying to get itself registered on the pension portal of DOPPW.

Presently, influenced by the work of the organization, the number of members of the organization is continuously increasing and this number has now reached about 600.
